If you were wondering when ’90s nostalgia might hit its peak, wonder no more: As Entertainment Weekly reports, Nickelodeon has announced that it’s reviving hit game show Double Dare for a commemorative special airing on November 23rd. The half-hour special will feature some new games along with vintage footage and behind-the-scenes content from the show’s original run. Host Marc Summers, co-host Robin Marella, and announcer John Harvey are all expected to join the festivities.

Renowned for its messy physical challenges that often left participants covered in slime, goo, and other questionable substances, Double Dare premiered in 1986 and ran through 1993, logging more than 500 episodes in total. The upcoming special is merely Nickelodeon’s latest attempt to stir the rich waters of nostalgia. In addition to reviving the popular animated shows Hey Arnold! and Rocko’s Modern Life, the children’s television network is turning its ’90s adventure game show, Legends of the Hidden Temple, into a fictional action-adventure movie starring children who definitely weren’t around when the original show aired.
